The Jeld Wen plant in Lowestoft used to process, mill and treat wood which was made into doors, window frames and stairs at Jeld Wen’s other factories and exported all over the world.
The firm, which employs 20,000 people worldwide, said its markets in the UK have been hit by the recession and the downturn in the construction industry. The plant closed down in June 2010, more than 190 jobs were lost.
Nice little explore, access was fun so was avoiding security. Maybe in need of a revisit as theres loads more to see!
